Head breakage when stamping downward and head breakage when stamping finished pulling out, the latter generally occurs when stamping stainless steel products is more common.
The most common mold punch head breakage is generally due to the following reasons:
1, poor quality raw materials, poor steel plasticity.
2, hanging table clear angle is too deep, or right angle. Or R angle is too large, will cause easy head phenomenon.
3, heat treatment hardness is too high, with the actual hardness of the punch material does not match. Such as SKD11 conventional hardness in 58-60 degrees, if beyond this hardness, then it will lose the toughness of this material itself.
The solution of the punch head breakage:
1, the use of high-quality manufacturers of raw materials.
2, mold punching needle hanging table should retain the natural R angle, not too deep or too large, generally in the R between 0.5-1.0.
3, in accordance with the actual needs of the punch needle material hardness, strict control within the limits of its bearing.
4, punch needle hanging table for annealing. Such as mold punching needle itself is 62-64 degrees, annealed to the hanging table between 48-50. This can also avoid the occurrence of such phenomena as broken head.
